About
Andy McDonald is a recent graduate from Western Oregon University, majoring in Communication Studies. Prior to starting his education at WOU, Andy worked for 5 years in technical theatre as a technical director, lighting designer, electrician, and rigger (he also dabbled in stage management). Outside of his work for Western Oregon University, he maintains a successful video production and photography business with past clients including: The HDSA, The Corvallis Clinic, Corvallis School District, and The Color Wheel Company. A creative project promoting WOU's history of excellence in education. Created by a team of 13 over the course of six weeks. Andy directed the project, along with taking on other odd jobs.

A semi-dramatic work aimed at teaching college students about being an active bystander at parties. Commissioned by WOU and PCMH. Andy directed and edited the project.

Assignment for coursework. Prompt: Create a commercial selling an abstract concept. The concept he chose was body image. For this project, Andy directed, shot, and edited the project.

A dance film choreographed by Corrie Cowart. Premiered at Western Oregon University's Spring Dance Concert in 2020. Andy served as video Director, Editor, and Composer.

Created to increase membership to the newly formed WOU Color Guard. Andy created the concept, directed and shot the video, and edited the product.
